Encore Abstracts:
Encore abstracts may be submitted, and it is at the discretion of the different scientific societies to select or reject these abstracts for presentation in their respective programmes. In general, abstracts with original research are favoured over encore abstracts from international clinical trials that have already been presented elsewhere.

Steps to Submit an Abstract

Create your personal account and/or log in to your existing account (please note that as it is a new platform you will have to update/complete your profile).

Click on “Abstract submission.”

Select “Submit a new abstract.”

Fill in the Title field.
-
Choose the type of abstract.
-
Complete the form according to the selected type of abstract (see abstract formats by type).

Click on “Go to next step.”
-
Review and, if necessary, edit the abstract and/or authors.

Click on “Submit my abstract” to finalize your submission.

AFTER EVALUATION
All abstract evaluation will be sent by email.
All accepted abstracts will be published in Acta Gastroenterologica Belgica, Issue 1, 2026.
ORAL PRESENTATION SESSION
If your abstract has been selected as an oral presentation, here are the guidelines:

Register to the congress.

You will find on the final programme by the end of December the exact schedule of your presentation and take into account that the allocated time includes presentation and Q/A.

You have to bring your Powerpoint Presentation on a USB stick and upload it in the conference room with the help of the AV team at the latest during the break preceding your session.
E-POSTER SESSION
If your abstract has been selected as an e-poster presentation, here are the guidelines:
-
Register to the congress.
-
Your e-poster will be presented exclusively in electronic format and displayed on dedicated screens in the exhibition area at the third floor.
-
The best e-posters will be presented and discussed during specific oral basic or clinical poster sessions as indicated in the programme.
Two Best Poster Awards of €250 will be offered during the Award Ceremony on Friday. -
