Since 1987 a National Meeting of Gastroenterology
(“Joint Meeting”, then “Belgian Week” since 1989)
has been organized by the five Belgian Societies interested in digestive diseases :
In 2009 we welcomed a seventh founding Society Belgian Group of Digestive Oncology (BGDO)
The main goals of the national meeting are to promote clinical and basic research studies
in a national setting and to fulfil teaching objectives by organizing Update Lectures.
